My Goals

I share my struggle, my strength, and my power.  Overall, my presentation shows the encompassing aspects of my life and what I have gone through.  Starting first with my life prior to my accident, I lay the groundwork for understanding who I was.  Then I briefly state what happened due to the accident and what it entailed.  Next, are the effects, from the brain injury, that I now live with.  I talk of how I cope with them, in how I do things differently.

To set up for my presentation I need just a couple of things.  First, a microphone may be applicable, depending on the size of the room.  Next, I will need a projector screen that is placed behind me.  This will display the pictures from my PowerPoint presentation.

The purpose of my talk lies not in my remorse over the entire event.  It is powered by my mission in life to keep going.  My goal in life is to encourage others and give hope to those who are lacking this in their lives.  I hope that my story proves to people that hard work and determination gets you through the thick and thin of life.

The duration of my presentation varies somewhat.  If I include a lot of my personal feeling, etc., it’s a more extensive presentation.  Then, if I take questions from the audience, time is extended.  It takes about 20 minutes.
