Snapshot 11

It was a Sunday night and I was winding down from the weekend.  I had to prepare for the early Monday morning that was to come.  This was not any Monday morning; it was going to be a snowy Monday morning.  I needed to set myself up with the essentials:  sticky notes.  I placed one pink sticky note, with the words CHECK WEATHER in black marker on my alarm clock.  I then placed another pink sticky note with the words CHECK WEATHER on my planner.  Lastly, I stuck one of these notes that held the words CHECK WEATHER on the bathroom counter.  Any way I turned, I couldn’t avoid the dependent factor of the day.

My alarm went off, a good 15 minutes early, sending me into a state of panic.  Was school cancelled or do I need to get going?  Flipping on the weather, I watched intently but found nothing.  I looked out the window and saw everything with a dusting of snow.  I knew what I had to do;   meaning budget time to clean off my car before leaving for work.

I slipped into my snow boots and grabbed the scraper, heading out to clean my car.  Walking on the driveway was difficult, my balance being challenged.  In my bulky snow boots, I scraped the windshield and windows.  I cleaned off the snow carefully, trying not to slip.  Finally, my job was done and my car was cleaned.  I was now off to my Monday.
